Capital Humane Society is offering half-price adoption fees on all animals from Tuesday, July 29 through Sunday, August 3, as part of its “PAWSitively Cool” summer adoption promotion.
The discount applies to all available animals at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center, including dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and small critters like guinea pigs and rabbits. Standard license and rabies fees may still apply.
The shelter says it is nearing capacity, with over 400 animals currently in care and 600 pets taken in during July alone. The admissions center is at 95% capacity for dogs, with 21 adoptable pets still awaiting transfer due to limited space.
Community members are encouraged to adopt, foster, or share the promotion to help relieve overcrowding. Short-term fosters are welcome, and all supplies are provided.
