About 12:30 this morning, a man reported he was robbed near North 27th and W Streets. The victim told LPD Officers he was approached by a man who demanded the victim’s possessions.
LPD Lieutenant Jason Goodwin told KLIN News, “The victim believed the male was holding something in his hand and feared for his safety. The man took several personal items from the victim and left the area. At about 1:30a.m., in the area of N. 27th and Holdrege Streets, a Lincoln Police Officer with a UNLPD Officer located the suspect and took him into custody.”
25-year-old Zavion Zaire Jermaine Simmons was cited for robbery and lodged in the Lancaster County Jail.
