The Nebraska Department of Labor released their unemployment report for the week ending April 17.
There were 1,512 new unemployment claims filed that week compared to 1,926 filed the week ending April 10th. New Pandemic Unemployment Claims also declined to 10 compared to 14 the week before.
Regular unemployment claims declined by 1,054 for the week ending April 17th with 8,354 claims filed. The number of claims filed for the week ending April 10th totaled 9,408. Regular PUA claims came in at 2.704, down 133 compared to the week ending April 10th.
Total paid benefits for the week of April 11th through the 17th totaled $8 million.
