The Child Tax Credit was expanded last year but it wasn’t extended into 2022, which means many people struggling financially haven’t gotten a check since December. Luckily, new legislation might change this. The Family Security Act proposes more money be sent out in the form of $350 monthly checks for each child a family has under the age of five, and $250 for each kid aged six to 17 up to $1,250 per family.
