A 1960 Cessna is hitting the skies Sunday afternoon to help rally Lincoln around people who are working essential service jobs.
The planes pilot, Collin Caneva, tells KLIN News to look up at the skies Sunday from noon until 2.
“When we fly over Lincoln and we took pictures and video of folks thanking those on the frontlines like health care workers and essential workers,” Caneva said. “There are still a lot of employees working out there.”
The only rule is to make sure you produce something that can be seen from 1,000 feet.
“They did chalk drawings in their driveways or if they were out front holding up signs, we can fly over the city at about 1,000 feet above the ground. That gives us a pretty clear view, we can’t read a newspaper but we can definitely see signs.
Caneva’s team hopes to publish a video on YouTube that demonstrates the unite Lincoln has for other members doing their part to fight COVID-19.
