A group of licensed physicians in our community is sparking a campaign to get residents to protect themselves from the new coronavirus and restrictions begin to be lifted.
“I hear a lot about people thinking they have a right to not wear a mask, I understand they may not need to protect themselves, but this is about protecting others,” Dr. Bill Johnson, a pulmonologist, who belongs to the Lancaster County Medical Society tells KLIN News. “With birthrights, become a responsibility, and I do think with our community we should protect one another.”
The Lancaster County Medical Society is pleading with residents to wear masks in your business and outside to protect people from COVID-19 and help prevent its spread.
The organization consists of over 600 licensed medical professionals from the area.
Dr. Johnson says it’s in your best interest to protect yourself similar to the health care system.
“We’re not falling over dying and ending up on ventilators one after another. We’ve learned to protect ourselves.
