One food business booming during the coronavirus pandemic is food trucks.
“This just goes to show how amazing our community is in support,” Nick Maestas, Owner of Muchachos Food Truck says. “To see the people rally behind small business is humbling and mind-blowing.”
Maestas tells KLIN News while business had been steady, they’ve faced many challenges. Some include finding enough supplies, not running out of supplies as demand increases and changing their business model as COVID-19 shut down parts of the economy.
He says they did more business in March and April of this year then they did last year.
“Nobody knew what was going to happen when this all came out but grow our business during this time is pretty awesome.”
Demand increased so much they moved to preorder for family meals only to make sure they don’t run out of supplies and that families have a chance to feed everyone.
The biggest challenge he said his opening a brick and mortar site over the next couple of months but added he looks forward to the challenge.
