A Lincoln housekeeper is arrested for stealing over $50,000 in jewelry from customers.

Officer Erin Spilker said 31-year-old Samantha Neeman was taken into custody on Friday, May 8th, after investigators with the Lincoln Police Department found evidence that she had pawned multiple pieces of jewelry that a 74-year-old Lincoln resident said was taken from her home in the 1800 block of Devonshire Dr. over the course of half a year.

“Several pieces of the jewelry that were reported stolen in these cases were reported as being pawned by Neeman,” said Spilker.

Investigators also found evidence Neeman pawned $2,000 of jewelry reported stolen by a 79 and 81-year-old Lincoln couple a few days before the April 30th report.

Both residences had employed Neeman as a housekeeper.

In both cases, several thousand dollars worth of jewelry is still reported missing.

Spilker said the department believes Neeman could have committed even more thefts and encourages anyone who may have had her in their employ to check for missing items.
