Multiple officers struggle with a suspected shoplifter.

Lincoln Police Officer Luke Bonkiewicz says police were sent to the Kwik Shop at 2710 W St. around 1:30 AM Tuesday after an employee reported a man took $64 worth of Budweiser without paying.

The employee provided a description of the suspect as well as a video of the incident.

After a search, a man matching the provided description was located in the 800 block of N 26th drinking the stolen alcohol with a few other people.

The man would later be identified as 31-year-old Luis Corrall.

“As officers contacted Corrall and attempted to place him in custody, Corrall refused to place his hands behind his back,” said Bonkiewicz. “It took 3 officers to finally move Corrall’s hands behind his back and place him in custody.”

Corrall was jailed for resisting arrest, theft by shoplifting and obstructing a police officer.
