Lincoln police are asking the public to on the lookout for a shotgun that was stolen out a car over the weekend.
The department reports officers were sent to a residence in the 1700 block of Pinedale Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Sunday after an 18-year-old victim discovered his unlocked car had been broken into earlier that morning.
The stolen shotgun is described at a black 870 Remington Wingmaster with a wooden stock.
The shotgun’s orange and brown leather carrying case was also reported stolen.
The victim believes the theft occurred sometime between 3 a.m – 5 a.m. Sunday.
